- Disbursement
- An out-of-pocket cost incurred in progressing a matter, such as a report or court fee, as distinct from professional fees.
- Legal Disbursement Funding
- Funding provided to a law firm to cover the disbursements a matter requires, repaid on agreed terms.
- Medico-Legal Report
- An independent medical assessment prepared to support a personal injury claim.
- Counsel Fees
- The fees charged by a barrister engaged to advise on, or appear in, a matter.
- Claimant
- The individual pursuing a personal injury claim, on whose behalf the firm acts.
- Referral Partner
- A barrister, consultant or professional who works alongside firms and may refer matters.
